During each full moon day, Around 6 lakhs pilgrims do girivalam around Annamalai hill. During the Karthigai Deepam festival celebrated during the full moon day in November-December during which a huge beacon lit on the top of the hill. Around close to 40 lakhs piligrims visit this place during this festival.
